 Nice Looking, But Not So Nice To Your Zune January 1, 2009
The Belkin Leather Sleave, at first glance, seems like a very attractive and protective case for your Zune 80/120 GB media player. I liked the clean lines and 'professional' look of it in comparison to many of the acryllic hard cases or techno-dragon skins. I looked at the Incipio flip cases and decided I liked the Belkin more as the belt clip was smaller and less bulky.
The Belkin fits the zune well, except for the plastic screen cover. It tends to bulge out where it is cut out to allow access to the buttons. There is a clear gap underneath that 'tents' away from the screen. Unfortunately, this allows every piece of dust and dirt that your Zune comes into contact with to slide underneath where it can easily get trapped and scratch the screen.
I would ONLY recommend this case if you ALSO get a clear screen protector to stick onto the Zune BEFORE inserting it into this case. I now have a few lovely 1 - 2 CM scratches on my Zune screen and piano black finish because something (???) got trapped in between the case and my zune.
As a note - This may just be an issue with the one I received. It appears that the plastic cover may have been cut to large at the bottom end with causes it to 'tent' away from the zune instead of laying flat. I've tried stretching the leather a bit to see if it helps, but it's still not fitting right. I have purchased many Belkin cases for ipods in the past before making the jump to a Zune, but I'd pass on this one for now. I gave it 1 star because it doesn't really protect at all.

The case is nice but extremely tight. I had to return it because I wanted the flexibility of taking it in and out of the case. But it was a really tight fit and I had a difficult time both putting it in and pulling it out (to the point where I thought I was going to scratch my Zune trying to get it out of the case). I don't have a 80GB so I don't know what the fit is like though I assume it's around the same size. I also didn't like the clip, which was the point of me getting it, the metal was too stiff and I couldn't really get it on my belt easily... which defeated the point.

this product is pretty good for a 80gb Zune if your not too concerned about how it looks. I like it alot and i think i would order another one if i had 2

I like the look of the case and the feel of the case. It did not add to much extra bulk, and the belt clip is nice. However, the protective screen gets scratched easily and the stitching is coming undone by the belt clip.

This was made for the 80gb Zune and even though the heading says it works for the 120gb...I wasn't sure. But it does fit. Very snug to the point of being a challenge to put on at first. But this is a good thing as it ends up not adding much more to the size of the Zune.
All of the buttons are easily accessible and it has a clear plastic cover over the screen for protection. This was important to me as I bought the Zune to replace a Sansa that had its screen cracked when I put it in my pants pocket along with my keys. So far the plastic screen is not noticable. The belt loop seems way too tight to actually use, so if this is a big thing either you will need to spend time loosening it up or go with a different cover.
Bottomline, looks good, snug fit, all buttons accessible, fits 120gb model fine, and protects the screen.
