The XpressR offers several options for integration with your vehicle. - Cassette Adapter (included): Use the cassette adapter if your vehicle's audio system has a built in cassette player.
- XM SureConnect (sold separately): You can listen to your XpressR through your car stereo by using XpressR's built-in FM modulator and the XM SureConnect. Simply find an unused FM frequency on the stereo, and set your XpressR to transmit on that same frequency.
- FM Direct Adapter (sold separately): The third option is the FM Direct Adapter. Professional installation is recommended if you choose to use this method of install.

This is a great XM Radio. I bought two of them, so now we have XM in all of our cars. I also got the home adaptor so that we could enjoy the XM Radio programming at home. They installed easily, look great in the car and work very well. I had a problem with the audio out on one of the radios, but it was replaced quickly with no problems. I got the radios from Talus - I highly recommend working with this seller.

Radio lasted only 3 months. Had trouble from day one with reception that died after 3 months. Of course cant get thru to audiovox. XM people dont understand English but they gave me a deal on radio that was worth not going thru the hassle of getting a new one. The cheaper radio works better without the extra features.

HOWEEVER IT TOOK UNREAL TIME TO SHIP FROM TIME OF PAYMENT LIKE A WEEK AND 2 MORE WEEKS IN TRANSIT

The installation requires a dual antenna setup for it to work properly. An antenna for the satellite and another for the internal car radio to pick the signal up. I can only assume its because the XM receiver does not have sufficient transmit power for the car radio to pick up the signal up. If the second antenna is not installed, then the reception is fuzzy. Even with the second antenna, the sound quality is not that good. I had to route the second antenna close to the rear car window antenna to get maximum reception. It will be extra work to install the second antenna. Besides that, the XM radio functions are good, can be wired directly to newer radio systems so that is why it gets three stars. It's far different from the prior Delphi XM system that was more simple to install, great transmitter and much better sound quality. If I knew this in advance, I would not have purchased this XM receiver.

i bought this radio around april 2009, amazons suppliers were having a fire sale at the time, i wonder why? i hooked up the radio 1 time after i received it to see if it works, and it did. I could not afford a XM radio subscription at the time so that radio sat in a box in my closet for about 9 months. now on jan. 20 2010 i decided to get a XM subscription and the radio does not work, I can only hope that audiovox will honor their 1 year warranty? UPDATE 2-12-2010, radio was sent to AUDIOVOX for repair and they denied my warranty saying that the company I purchased it from, Encore Entertainment is NOT a authorized audiovox dealer, but if I had purchased the radio directly from Amazon(for ALOT more money) they would honor the warranty then..I will NEVER purchase a Audiovox Item again! I worry that ANYTHING I purchase from Amazon will be covered by a warranty? sure they will give you a refund up to 30 days after purchase, but what about the next 11 months on a product claiming to have a 1 year warranty?????
