decent, while they lasted July 24, 2010 Shinigami (Florida) They were great before they were broken.
If you're looking for a throwaway set of phones for whatever, these might be good. However, if you're looking for something a bit sturdier, look at Sennheiser HD's or brands like those, these Sony phones have issues staying together.
Greaty Quality Headphones July 22, 2010 DCohen These head phones are amazing quality. I use them for personal/ portable use; I take public transportation (train) everyday to work and I am very pleased with the quality and comfort. My train ride is roughly 30 minutes and although these are not noise canceling headphones I can barely hear any outside noise while keeping the volume at a comfortable level. I also use the head phones at work during the majority of the time I am there. This is the only problem I have with these headphones. I work from 8-445 Monday through Friday so I am using these headphones for almost 6+ hrs. After more than 1- 1 1/2 hours of use the headphones start feeling uncomfortable and my ears start to really hurt so much that I have to take breaks in between usage. Don't get me wrong they are very comfortable, but after using the headphones for an excess amount of time they really put a strain on my ears.
I have read reviews that people think these headphones are made with cheap plastic and the joints that make the headphones swivel break easily. I have had no problems with the design of the product and no sings of anything breaking. Another thing is the cord is very lengthy was another issue I thought I would have a problem with. The cord has never been a problem, I actually enjoy the length of the cord, it doesn't get in the way
Other then that, I am very pleased with these head phones I use them all day during the week, amazing quality. Like I said I use these headphones for personal/portable use, not DJing, and I am very pleased with my purchase.
Good sound weak construction July 15, 2010 Dj Tony These should be recalled and replaced free of charge by the Sony Corp.they say they are Dj headphones however they are not durable enough for the road ,the plastic swivel cracks on them ,i only had mine Feb.2010 ,there is an on going petition online about these headphones,Amazon should stop selling them
quality lasts July 13, 2010 dckala2 I'm writing this because after 8 years my pair of v700 are finally starting to fritz. The right ear does not play anymore and as frustrating as it is I cant be too upset. When I bought these they cost the o.g. price and were $180. Well needless to say I never had any problems with them ever. The sound was nasty, bass deep and they killed anythin I ever played. I loved plugging these in and bangin. Unfortunately after 8 years of use they finally started to go, I am not dissapointed at all, these are the greatest headphones I've ever owned and am looking to get my second pair. There may be better, i mean "newer" headphones out there but at this price?!? geez, i'd get two pairs of these before any crappy skull candy's or something.
Absolutely the Best July 8, 2010 KJennerator These headphones have the highest sound quality out of every headphone pair that I have ever used. There is no distortion ever. I have cranked up the volume trying to get these to distort, but I fail every time. These can hurt your ears after wearing for over a couple hours, but it doesnt really bother me. Overall 5 stars.
