The compact yet powerful high-performance system employs a quartet of Odyssey neodymium full-range drivers to fill your room with clear, accurate sound and all the volume you (and your friends and neighbors) can handle. It's the perfect accessory for bedrooms, smallish apartments, basements, and any other space where a full-size speaker system is pure overkill. The On Stage II incorporates Apple's universal iPod dock adapter, which works with most docking versions of the iPod, including the iPod video 5G and 5.5G and the iPod nano 1G and 2G. Simply slide your iPod into the dock and you're set--no additional cords to connect or adapters to fuss with. As an added convenience, the On Stage II also offers an auxiliary input for connecting a variety of other portable audio devices, including the iPod shuffle, personal MP3 and CD players, desktop and laptop computers (all platforms), and satellite radio receivers. As long as your portable audio device has a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack connection, you can play the audio through your On Stage II speaker. As a bonus, the On Stage II comes with a wireless remote control, giving you the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room or in another room--up to 50 feet away (including through walls). The system itself, meanwhile, includes easy-to-use touch controls for the volume and mute, and even remembers your last volume setting after it shuts down. This is a good product. I couldn't figure it out at first but after a little while of monkeying around with it my husband got it working. Now we listen all day long...our kids love it too!

I was very surprised for the price how good this speaker sounds. Even at high volumes the sound is crisp and clear. The only down fall is that it does not charge my IPOD 5th generation Nano while it is playing. If your looking for something that isn't too overly priced this is a good buy.

The speakers sound great in such a compact unit. It is very sturdy and even includes a remote that can Also included are basically every size fitting for the ipod and it charges your ipod while its on. Too bad it doesn't take batteries though, only the wall adapter will power it up.
Great product for the $ November 25, 2008
I bought one of these previously for my husband and then this one for my brother. The quality is consistent. Perhaps the balance could be a little better, but the sound, overall is more than adequate for the portability and the price.
