As a studio musician and performer I'm pretty fussy about sound reproduction. If my wife knew how many earphones and headphones I have purchased she probably would think the money would have been better spent on a second home. Earphones are like cars or shoes, etc. they make a lot of different styles for diffenent needs. The bose are a great balance a smooth rich sound with just enough low end. They sound very much like the over the ear phones without the bulk. They don't go in the ear canal so they may tend to fall out with a lot of movement but they are very comfortable and there is far less chance of the hearing loss.
