Great product January 6, 2009 I purchased these ear plugs for my son and his friend. They are in a band. They tell me that they have no problem with muffled sounds and that their ears don't ring anymore after a jam session.
Works well, but too big for my ears December 18, 2008 If you have small ears, get the baby blue version of this because it can be difficult and painful to fit it into your ears; otherwise product works well.
Makes life tolerable December 14, 2008 I drive a transit bus in Seattle, WA and believe me when I say that we live in an exceptionally changed world these days where there is no such thing one's own quiet space. I work all day in a chaotic environment surrounded by people yelling on their cell phones, people listening to music on cheap headsets that sound like mini boom boxes and playing noisey computer games - yeah that's right, I'm talking about you buster! Anyway, if I hadn't discovered these Etymotic earplugs I'd probably be locked up for one reason or another by now. These dandy little gems have made my life sane again. Oh, I can still hear people yaking away but at such a reduced volume that I can actually tolerate it. One word of advice: don't cram them to deeply into your ears like you probably had to do with the old sponge kind because they'll be hard to remove and will cause your ear canal to get sore.
Good purchase to save hearing October 27, 2008 I have recently been told I am partially deaf in upper frequencies and should wear ear plugs around loud noises whenever possible. The few times I have used them have been wonderful, it lowered the volume of everything but I was still able to hear the people around me talking. For the price it is a definite must have to protect your hearing.
Great for musicians September 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are much better than foam earplugs. everything's clear. First thing I did when I got them was test them out in a movie theater. Watched the whole movie with no problems. There is quite a bit of in-head noise, like breathing and chewing, but it is great for when I'm singing because I can hear myself clearly over the rest of the band.
