Fits my 80 GB Ipod well August 27, 2010 MiBow (SF Bay Area) If you need a clear protective case this one is adequate. I have never dropped my Ipod to test how it performs but it does protect it from dirt and scratches.
Better than Belkin Remix Metal :) AWESOME CASE August 1, 2010 B. Martin (A State) This case is everything your gonna need for your iPod Classic. Mine came with an armband and clip (which I'm probably NOT gonna use because I don't listen to music working out lol and I like carrying my iPod.) ANYWAYS, this offers really great protection, I bought this for myself to use on the iPod Classic 160 gb (2009 version) I'd be getting later in the week. I used my Mom's old 80 gb iPod Classic to test the fit and protection of the case.
The case in general is pretty slim, it won't add much thickness to the iPod. It's still pretty slim, i dropped my mom's iPod Classic wth this case on and the case didnt pop apart it stayed together the whole time. It has a great fit and pretty big spaces for the Hold and earphone jack. But it's pretty obvious that the clear front cover (the back is opaque) will probably get scratched alot if dropped. It won't affect the real iPod screen in any way since there's a space between the case screen and iPod screen. Overall its a very good case for the iPod Classic and I'm sure that I'll have it for a long time. :) Get this case!
One way protection June 13, 2010 B. D. Jones (Lakewood, CO United States) The clear shell is pretty rugged and provides excellent protection. However, once installed, it is difficult to remove. IT'S THAT GOOD, or something.
Best course of action, once you buy an iPod, is to put it away and never touch it. This guarantees your iPod will never get scratched up or damaged in any way.
Good case for 160gb. March 18, 2010 Steven T. Lozano (TEXAS) I looked in retail stores for a similar case for the 160gb classic, and had no luck. Overall this is a good case. It is sensitive. It scratches easily, but so does the screen. Mine takes plenty of abuse so I don't worry too much about it. Be sure that your ipod is as clean as you want it before you snap it together, it can be tough to pull back apart. Kit comes with two different backing plate depths, so fitting either a 160gb, or the newer 120gb classics shouldn't be a problem. If you have ever tried putting a 160gb into a newer classic case you know they don't fit well. Both jacks have plenty of room so everything connects tightly. Lock button also has good clearance. No real issues, just takes scratches quickly, but that might just be the user.
very fragile March 3, 2010 Joseph M. Slavin (Glens Falls, NY, USA) 0 out of 7 found this review helpful
i had this product for two days and it stopped working. Apparently the harddrive is very fragile and mine stopped working and all the ipod would do is show a red x on the screen and tell me to go to the apple site. I will never get another mp3 player that has a harddrive, only flash memory for me
